I absolutely adore Yoga! It is an amazing philosophy incorporating Mind, Body and Spirit.

Every Yoga teacher is different. We all have our own philosophies and methods.

So, how do I teach Yoga?

Well, I teach Hatha Yoga and incorporate some Vinyasa flow. I also teach No Ego Yoga!

OK, so what does that mean?

Hatha Yoga is the original Yoga on which all others are based. It is relatively slow paced and works by incorporating breath and movement, so allows you time to move into each asana.  It is a gentle approach, in that we don’t force the body into the Asana, rather, we breathe our way into them. That said, you will work and you will sweat!

With Vinyasa, we group together asana and flow between them using our breath.

But what is No Ego Yoga?

Yoga is not about ego. It is not about being the best in class and pulling the perfect moves. Yoga is about feeling well within yourself. Enjoying what you are doing. Breathing, not forcing.

I love that we have a laugh and enjoy ourselves in a relaxed, friendly environment. Yes, we might not always pull the perfect Downward Dog, but we pull the perfect Downward Dog for us, in that moment and time.
